Professor Jiju Anthony is recognized worldwide as a leader in Lean Six Sigma methodology for achieving and sustaining process excellence. He is currently serving as a Professor of Industrial and Systems Engineering at Khalifa University in Abu Dhabi, UAE. He is a Fellow of the Royal Statistical Society (UK), Fellow of the Chartered Quality Institute (CQI), Fellow of the Institute of Operations Management (FIOM), Fellow of the American Society for Quality (ASQ), Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, Fellow of the International Lean Six Sigma Institute, Fellow of the Institute of the Six Sigma Professionals (ISSP) and an Academician of the International Academy of Quality (IAQ). He is a Certified Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt and has trained over 1200 people as Lean Six Sigma Yellow, Green and Black Belts from over 20 countries representing over 170 organisations in the last 10 years.

He has won the outstanding contribution to Quality Management Practice Award in 2019 from the Chartered Quality Institute (UK); Life time Achievement Award for his contribution to Lean Six Sigma from the International Lean Six Sigma Institute (UK) in 2020 and Outstanding Contribution to Six Sigma Practice award from the Institute of Six Sigma Professionals, UK in 2021. His book on Ten Commandments of Lean Six Sigma: a practical guide for senior managers has won Walter Mazing Book Price in 2021 (International Academy of Quality, USA) and Crosby Medal (American Society of Quality, USA) in 2022.

Professor Antony has coached and mentored several Lean Six Sigma projects from various companies in the UK ranging from manufacturing, service to public sector organisations including the NHS, City Councils, NHS 24, Police Scotland, ACCESS, Business Stream, and a number of Universities. Professor Antony has authored over 500 journal, conference and white papers and 12 text books. He has published over 300 papers on Six Sigma and Lean Six Sigma topics alone and is considered to be one of the highest in the world for the number of publications with over 20000 citations on Six Sigma and LSS topics according to Google Scholar and Scopus. He is the founder of the International Conference on Lean Six Sigma for Higher Education. He has worked as a strategic advisor for several companies especially on their journey of Operational Excellence. He has supervised over 20 PhD students of which more than 12 are senior managers from world class companies

He has experience working with C-level executives, established and implemented the enterprise data management, data governance & data analytics competencies, initiated the concept of “data as an asset” to increase the value of the data across the enterprise and decreased the cost of managing the data.

He successfully led many enterprise data management & data analytics strategies for three (3) fortune 100 firms, from the ground up and ensured the data strategy is implemented correctly, the data is correct and secure and the customer’s privacy is governed.

As part of executive leadership, he led effort to improve how clients interact with their customers, optimize their data processes to gain valuable customer insight, improve customer experience, realize efficiencies and increase profitability.

Mr. Raja Segaran

Raja is currently the Head of Strategy, Research & Analytics in Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC), an agency tasked by the Government to develop and lead the country’s digital economy.

He has led the development of various national macro-strategies and roadmaps for the country’s digital economy and sits in several national level platforms, committees and task forces to help the country to shape strategies and policies to deliver impactful outcomes.

Raja was awarded the Adjunct Professor role by UNITAR International University in Digital Strategies to support the university’s goal to bring in industry perspectives.

The Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) has appointed him as its panel for the Board of Studies to help the university to review and advise on the curriculum to be industry and future-ready.

He is also an Associate Fellow with the Malaysian Institute of Management (AFMIM).

At the international front, Raja is the Chair for the Digital Economy & Financial Inclusion Sub-Committee under the IEEE’s Digital Resilience Industry Connection Program.

Prior to joining MDEC, Raja was a Director with Ernst & Young Advisory in the Kuala Lumpur office as one of the leaders in the Transformation domain. He has led the set-up and management of several medium to large transformation offices for various clients in the public and private sectors.

Professor. Dr. Hooy Chee Wooi

HOOY CHEE WOOI, Ph.D. is a Professor at the School of Management USM. He was born in Georgetown, Penang. He joined the university after completing his PhD in international finance at the University of Malaya. He is actively involved in research where he has published 4 books and more than 60 articles in refereed journals, and has won several awards and medals for his research. He has also serves as reviewer for more than 20 refereed journals since 2006, where 8 are from ISI journals including Applied Economics, Economic Modelling, Emerging Market Finance and Trade, Emerging Market Review, and Review of International Economics. Since 2009, he has served as the co-editor for Asian Academy of Management Journal of Accounting and Finance (AAMJAF), a Scopus cited journal. He was a visiting scholar at Columbia Business School of Columbia University from Sep2005 to May2006; at Faculty of Business and Economics of Monash University in May 2010; and at Economics Department of Chinese University of Hong Kong in Aug/Sep 2011.
